Love the ice formations both here and on some more recent posts. I have some very fond, if not very cold memories of some winters on Great Bay in the 70&#039;s when the ice on the bay reached thicknesses of 15&quot; or more ( I had to chop some holes through it for a research project). Anyway the transition from the ice over the mudflats to the ice in the deeper channels was spectacular.  Something to think about if the conditions ever repeat themselves. And pretty much in your backyard as well.</description>
